Alkaline Tortillas

Nothing is better than making your own tortillas at home - especially when the tortillas are alkaline! With just a few simple ingredients, you can make these delicious and healthy flatbreads. Let's dive in!

2 cups spelt flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp basil

1/2 cup spring or distilled water

1/3 cup grapeseed oil


  • Combine spelt flour, salt, and basil in a bowl. Slowly add water and oil until a dough forms.
  • Divide dough into small balls. Roll them out into flat tortillas using a rolling pin.
  • Heat a pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each tortilla for about 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side, until golden brown.
